It takes a village to raise a child and even more to support them as they face pediatric cancer.  We need non-monetary support as well as monetary. Think you may be able to help? YES! What services do you feel you can do remotely for us? Let us know. We are always looking for influencers, telephone help, content writers, podcast help, videographers, editors, and experienced advisors. We can do much of what we need assistance with remotely from home.

Another form of volunteering could be volunteering from your business location and offering some of the services you provide to our Sassy families.

Currently, we service mid to southeast Virginia and northeast North Carolina. We hope to grow this demographic area as The Sassy Carmen Foundation™ grows.

We do our best to do the things others are unable to. We designed our programs based on what we, as a pediatric cancer family, found we needed and struggled to find help with.

We place 100% of Donations into our programs! We are 100% volunteer-run via donated space and needs. Our goal is to give as much as possible and not use your support to give ourselves fancy things. This mission is our passion- not our employer. We do need a small amount of cash flow in order to maintain our programs, We have sponsors for these needs.

If you have skills to serve we may lack- please contact us and we can bring this to our current Board. We need Nonprofit Investment Strategists, Nonprofit Tax Advisors, and Nonprofit Attorneys to serve as advisors and provide services, either on a full-time or part-time basis. Please note that Board of Directors (BOD) members do not receive compensation for their positions. We currently meet once per quarter virtual over Zoom.

We completed our 501.3c paperwork in the summer of 2020. We started building out our programs in 2023. From the time we began our paperwork to the building of our programs- we did everything with our personal funding and time allotted. Now, we are ready for you to help us build and move forward.

Absolutely, we are in need of many things. We would love donated “needed items” in order to save us from purchasing. Currently, we are in need of larger things like office supplies, furniture, equipment, office space, marketing swag, event tents, etc. And we need toys and gifts for our Just Because parties (part of our program). If you have something you wish to donate other than dollars- please reach out – let us assist you.
